The History Department at Simmons University in Boston is looking for an advanced PhD candidate or recent PhD to teach our survey-level course on World History I during the fall semester 2022.

The catalog description on the course is as follows: Studies the evolution of human societies to the rise of truly global connection. Significant attention is paid to understanding connections and comparisons between China, India, the Islamic world, the Mediterranean, and the Americas.

Past syllabi are available upon request.

The course is scheduled to run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00am - 12:20pm, capped at 25 students, and it is typically taught as a combination of lecture and discussion. The course will be taught on the ground.
