Job Purpose

 RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Creative Writing and Literature starting in the fall semester of 2025. RIT Dubai is looking for a highly qualified and enthusiastic individual. We are particularly interested in candidates with a broad spectrum of subject interests applicable to the RIT General Education offerings. The successful candidate will be expected to teach creative writing, and literature as part of a 4/4 semester teaching load.

The selected candidate is expected to start on August 25, 2025 in Dubai.

Required Qualifications: 

• Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing or Ph.D. in English literature from an accredited
• Previous teaching experience.
• Ability to teach a wide range of courses in creative writing and literature that form part of the various Immersions and Minors offered by RIT Dubai, including: the Creative Writing Minor, the Digital Literatures and Comparative Media Immersion, and the Literature and Media Immersion.
• Excellent communication skills.
