The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky seeks to fill a tenure-eligible faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Cultural Anthropology with a focus on medical anthropology, health inequalities, environmental justice, or other fields that complement existing departmental strengths. This is a 9-month position in the regular title series with an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024. The successful candidate will have a research program centered on Latine/x communities in the United States. We would expect applicants to be able to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Medical and Cultural Anthropology and in their own areas of expertise.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to participate in various programs beyond the department such as the Center for Health Equity Transformation (CHET) and the College’s interdisciplinary Latin American Caribbean and Latino Studies Program.
A Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology is required.
