Writer - Business, Finance and Technology
Are you a writer who gets excited by AI, cryptocurrency, cybersecurity and other technologies disrupting the business world? Can you write engaging, informative stories that will make readers want to learn more? Can you also condense complex ideas into a Tweet?
The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking an experienced, versatile writer to work with our fast-growing organization. You'll write compelling long-form stories about our students and faculty who are working at the intersection of business, finance and emerging technologies. You’ll also help write concise and precise marketing copy that can fit into a Facebook ad.
You're a storyteller that's equal parts journalist, copywriter and marketer. This position requires a deep understanding of the language and concepts used throughout fintech.

Duties and responsibilities
- Write engaging stories about students and faculty at the School of Business, highlighting their challenges and successes.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the university to develop and write articles to support websites and marketing campaigns, with attention to keywords for SEO purposes.
- Help write search page titles and meta descriptions to drive traffic to pages.
- Help create and distribute marketing content including annual reports, white papers, brochures, advertising copy and dean’s letters.
- Copyedit and proofread colleagues’ work, as needed.
- Help write conversion focused landing pages.
- Help write marketing emails appealing to prospective students.
Requirements:
- BS/BA in English, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Five years of professional writing experience required, some of it with business media.
- Ability to translate complex subject matter into compelling content for marketing purposes
- Professional experience writing on social media platforms.
- Experience addressing business audiences.
- Experience writing white papers, brochures, blogs, articles and newsletters
- Experience creating compelling copy for digital marketing campaigns that convert
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to set priorities and manage competing demands
