The Department of Media Communication at American University of Sharjah is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position (rank is open), beginning August 2025. Successful candidates must hold a doctoral degree in communication or a media-related field from a recognized Western university and should demonstrate a robust emerging research agenda. Applicants should be able to teach in integrated marketing communication (public relations/advertising). While prior experience in teaching IMC is advantageous, preference will be given to those applicants who demonstrate proficiency in teaching a diverse range of courses across the department’s curriculum, and who can effectively bridge theoretical knowledge with skills-based instruction. A strong commitment to teaching students from diverse cultural and national backgrounds is expected.
