Amanda is currently in the final stages of her doctoral studies in the Faculty of Natural Resource Management. Her dissertation explores the relationships between government promotional activities and notions of sustainability in Ontario's forest industry during the twentieth century. She is a graduate of the MES in Northern Environments and Cultures program at Lakehead University. Her Masters' theses explored the use of film and its effectiveness in capturing knowledge transmitted from Elders to Youth while providing a ‘true’ Indigenous voice.
