Expertise: Provenance studies of ancient pottery by instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA), especially applied to pottery from Qumran. Furthermore, Synchrotron research on Qumran textiles and dyes as well as the degradation of the Dead Sea scrolls by micro-XRF and Micro-XRD and SR-FTIR at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble.
