Expertise: My primary research interests include Dalits and Decolonization, especially the intellectual engagement of the Dalits with colonialism, nationalism and Christianity. I am also interested in Dalit life writings (biographies/autobiographies) and in exploring the parallels with other narratives of dispossession including the slave narratives in the Atlantic world. I am also exploring the intricacies of caste, race and gender in popular media
