Cognitive, interpersonal, socio-cultural, and behavioural aspects of human interactions with information sources and information technologies through both qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Before joining UTS in 2012, Bhuva was a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the School of Information Systems at the Queensland University of Technology where she investigated the phenomenon of information avoidance, especially in the context of information-intensive, self-care-oriented health conditions such as Diabetes. Bhuva's current research involves the use of mobile and social media technologies in conjunction with semantic search technologies to aid narrative modes of knowledge-sharing and information-seeking to help bridge the divide between implicit and explicit knowledge
