Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship in Aesthetics
AUBURN UNIVERSITY, Auburn, AL. The Department of Philosophy at Auburn University invites applications for a postdoctoral teaching fellowship in aesthetics, beginning the 2025-2026 academic year. This fellowship is a nine-month non-tenure track position, but renewable for up to four years depending on performance and funding. The position carries a teaching load of 3/3, but typically does not require more than one preparation per semester. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong research potential in aesthetics, enthusiasm to participate in the activities of the Auburn Aesthetics Forum, and interest in research collaboration with senior members of the department. Candidates able to advance the department’s commitment to diverse teaching methods and research are encouraged to apply. Final appointment is contingent upon funding.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Philosophy is required by the time appointment begins, August 16, 2025. Area of Specialty: Aesthetics. Area of Competence: Open.
Applicants must be able to meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States by the start date and to continue working legally for the proposed term of employment; excellent communication skills are required.
